Basic Function:
Under the direction of the Assistant Superintendent, Curriculum and Instruction, assemble, distribute and process tests in the District student Performance Based Assessment program; provide reports for Central Office personnel
Representative Duties:
Coordinate the administration of the District Performance Based Assessment program, both for English and Spanish speaking students.
Prepare and distribute information regarding protocols and other aspects of the District Performance Based Assessment program.
Distribute Performance Based Assessment tests; assemble and distribute other tests as required; help to calculate and interpret statistics regarding test results.
Coordinate the collection of data for required reports; order testing materials and equipment; update testing procedures as required.
Provide information and assistance in group testing development; establish records pertinent to various District programs.
Respond to calls and questions about District Performance Based Assessment program.
Assist in the preparation of the annual testing report to the administration and school board.
Use the computer for entering and processing testing information.
Provide work direction and guidance to assigned clerical support staff during scoring and other times as needed.
Prepare periodic orders for testing materials, scoring materials and other office functions; monitor assigned budgets.
Perform related duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Abilities:
Knowledge of:
Modern office methods and practices, data processing, computer services and reporting.
Proper English usage, grammar, spelling and punctuation.
Ability to:
Willingness to learn functions and basic operations of District Performance Based Assessment program.
Maintain confidentiality.
Use computer technology for test data entry and test reports.
Assemble tests.
Perform responsible clerical duties.
Compile and maintain accurate records and reports.
Schedule workload to meet deadlines.
Operate computer equipment.
Develop clear and comprehensive reports.
Understand and interpret written and oral directions.
Develop and interpret statistical data.
Compose graphs and related materials for interpretation of numerical data.
Establish and maintain effective work relationships with those contacted in the performance of required duties.
Education and Experience:
Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school or equivalent supplemented by courses in statistics, data processing, research and development, microcomputer skills and business office management and a minimum of two years of responsible experience in clerical work, data processing and statistical reporting.
Licenses and Requirements:
Valid California driver's license, evidence of appropriate automobile insurance based on DMV regulations and insurable by the District liability insurance carrier.

Our 8th graders feed into the neighboring Sequoia Union High School District (SUHSD).
