Knowledge of :
School procedures, rules and regulations
Ability to:
Work harmoniously with administrators, teachers, students and other employees; - Exercise good judgment in traffic control to promote student safety; - Learn and enforce traffic laws with respect pedestrian to right of way; - Maintain physical and mental attributes sufficient to the performance of assigned duties and responsibilities which includes standing for extended periods of time, possessing adequate vision and hearing needed for making decision for student safety and understanding and carrying out oral and written directions
Physical Abilities:
Requires constant standing, walking, reaching at/above/below shoulders, neck flexion (up and down) and rotation. Requires occasional bending, stooping, squatting, twisting at the waist. Requires the ability to constantly lift up to 5 pounds and carry up to 20 feet. Requires visual acuity and hearing to observe students, vehicles, situations and movement. Requires speaking skills in order to communicate with students. Requires finger dexterity in order to write and use a whistle. Requires grasping in order to handle a stop sign. Requires writing and reading skills in order to complete reports. Hear, speak, write, and read in English to exchange information.

Situated in the mid-Peninsula between San Francisco and San José in the San Francisco Bay Area, Redwood City School District (RCSD) is an innovative and award-winning PreK-8 district serving 6,500 students across 12 schools in Redwood City and portions of Atherton, Menlo Park, San Carlos, and Woodside. Our 8th graders feed into the neighboring Sequoia Union High School District (SUHSD).
